The bills are coming due. Even though we are going into the fall and you have back to school bills already, you are going to keep paying even more for the energy mistakes NJ has made in the coming months.

After seeing electric bills spike 20% at the beginnig of the summer, the BPU decided to defer the pain (not do anyting to address the cause in the meantime btw). But those deferrals only lasted so long and here is a reminder from SpotlightNJ what was done at the time:

The fact that everyone needs to accept is that you cannot defer or even freeze your way out of this problem as some would hope. Those are political attempts to distract from the fact that they are not dealing with the underlying cause which is that we don’t have enough energy.

And the bigger problem than all of that is that nothing being proposed to help meet the moment… and the increasing demand.
