After an election where energy took center stage, the policy the state pursues in the new administration will determine where we go next.
Yet no matter which New Jersey energy distribution companies you ask they all agree about what we need:
Take for example some of the information recently put out from PSE&G in an Op Ed about what the energy gap we face and how we will continue to struggle to meet growing demand if we don’t build more here at home.
The fact is we are likely never going to need less power and anyone who says different is being disingenuous. Sure, we can be more efficient and encourage people to conserve but there isn’t a world where we use less energy.
And while it’s important that we generate more power overall to meet demand, it will have even more of an impact if as much of that power as possible is built in state to help bend the cost curve in the other direction for ratepayers.
