You may be getting tired of us talking about energy affordability and reliability. But you don’t have to take our word for it because the latest NJ poll from Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future covered by the Tri-State Infrastructure News reinforces what we have been saying for years and reveals overwhelming concern among New Jersey voters about rising energy prices:

It’s rare that 8 out of 10 people agree on much of anything these days, yet here we are and this is before the next set of price hikes kick in. Not only that, the all of the above strategy we have been advocating for is backed by 2/3 of voters too:

So to recap where things stand:

  • Voters think energy prices are already too high.
  • Voters oppose natural gas bans.
  • Voters want to be able to choose what works for them
  • Voters would rather vote for a candidate who includes more natural gas in NJ’s energy mix so that we are able to increase our in state supply while lowering costs on the electric bill.

We hope that the candidates and our elected officials are paying attention because the bottom line is that people care about affordable and reliable energy, something we at AENJ have been shouting to anyone who would listen for years now.
