FDU is out with a new poll looking at how voters feel in New Jersey about natural gas and believe us, they have an opinion.
A strong majority of voters in the state support the construction of new natural gas plants, with 64 percent saying that they support it, and only 22 percent saying that the state should wait for other options.
And in addition to how voters feel, a Global Energy Perspective Report issued by McKinsey and Company says fossil fuels, especially natural gas, are expected to remain a large part of the country’s energy mix well past 2050.
The report also says alternative fuels are not likely to see wide adoption until 2040, which means we will need more base load energy to get the job done and meet our needs:
The facts continue to show we need more base load energy both today and going forward. The public is clear that they want more natural gas in the mix. It’s past time for politicians to listen and act.
